BP Solar Home Systems

Solar Modules

Solar electric modules convert the sun's energy into direct current (DC) electricity. BP Solar Home Solutions® systems use high performance monocrystalline or multicrystalline modules, also called solar panels. BP Solar modules can be securely mounted to almost any kind of roof – flat or sloped – with just about any type of roofing material, including slate, metal, Spanish tile, asphalt and shake shingles.

Our representatives will assess your roof to determine the optimum placement for your solar panels. The assessment covers roof type, pitch, shape and orientation, as well as analysis of potential shading throughout the year. This allows us to design the optimum solar electric system for your home and to estimate the amount of energy the system will generate.

Every BP Solar Home Solutions® system includes an inverter, which converts the electricity produced by the solar modules from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), the kind of electricity you use in your home.

Utility Net Metering

Your BP Solar Home Solutions® system connects to your main electrical panel. A meter tracks net energy usage, spinning forward when electricity is used from the grid, and backwards, generating a credit, when your system creates more electricity than you require.

Optional System Monitor

The exclusive wireless in-house display communicates with your BP Solar Home Solutions® system and your home’s main electrical panel to provide you with a digital readout of useful information.

You can easily see how much power your system is producing, how much power your house is using, the current time, the solar intensity outside, and the cumulative energy production of your system. This optional display is only available with an official BP Solar Home Solutions® system and is not sold separately.
